The US communications provider iBasis has fallen victim to a ransomware attack.
A cyberattack on the US company iBasis may draw customers from all over the world. The company provides international communication services, including voice calls, SMS services and MMS services. Its customer base includes hundreds of telcos from all over the world, from the USA and from Europe.
It seems that the Hackers could copy many data externally and encrypt some server. Afterword the cybercriminals subsequently published on the darknet the files which include data of customers of those telcos that use iBasis services.
So far, iBasis has not made any statement to the media.
